Saskia Fernando Gallery (SFG) is pleased to announce the participation of artist Chandraguptha Thenuwara in the forthcoming Venice Biennale 2022, Italy. The installation will be a part of the Personal Structures Exhibition presented by the European Cultural Centre. Chandraguptha Thenuwara will present the work Covert, a floor to ceiling installation the artist describes as an infinite vortex of interlocking motifs constructed out of wire which link and fuse together. This will be the third Venice Biennale that features works from artists based in Sri Lanka and is a very exciting moment for both artists whose career has seen them exhibited in museums and galleries internationally.
