In this work, Chudamani Clowes provides a different perspective to the topic of movement within the empire. Calling back to Ford Maddox Brown's "Last of England", Chudamani shows migration from a European perspective as a family embarks on a journey to the colonies, their baby tucked precariously in the mothers cloak. Empires are built on travel and this movement goes both ways.
