Reminiscence, a series of miniature sculptures cast in brass, serves as Thenuwara's poignant commentary on the enduring aftermath of war. By amalgamating images of the lotus and disembodied limbs, the artwork delves into the intertwined relationship between religious fundamentalism and extremism that prolonged the civil war in the country. The work reflects on the persistence of these structures not only in the collective consciousness but also in the increasingly nationalist atmosphere, despite the cessation of the civil war.
